15.04.2019 Africa’s Regional Climate Dialogue to boost climate actions Last month, from 15th to 22nd of March 2019, 196 participants, of which 47 African countries, private sector and other non-Party stakeholders mobilized at the Africa Climate Week 2019 in Accra, Ghana to discuss and advance the climate action agenda of the region. The Africa Climate Week is actually the first of the Regional Climate Week planned for this year – the latter two being the Latin America and Carribean Climate Week and the Asia Pacific Climate Week. One of the events held during the Africa Climate Week, was the NDC regional climate dialogue which aims at boosting ambition and accelerating climate actions. 25.03.2019 Facilitate transition to the enhanced transparency framework The twelfth round of technical analysis under the international consultation and analysis (ICA) process was convened in Bonn, Germany, from 25 February to 1 March 2019. The expert panel comprised of Deutsche Post DHL Group, Deutsche Bahn, the government of Singapore, the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the Global Support Programme (GSP), and was moderated by Mr. William Agyemang-Bonsu from the UNFCCC secretariat. 26.04.2018 In-forum training workshop on the use of economic modelling tools related to the areas of the work programme A workshop to discuss the use of economic modelling tools related to the areas of the work programme is being held during the Bonn Climate Change Conference on the 30th of April and 1st of May 2018. 06.04.2018 New Webinar Series to Support Nations Climate Action and Reporting UN Climate Change is launching today a webinar series to support developing nations in reporting on their efforts to tackle climate change. <br> <br>The series aims to provide a platform for practitioners to focus in-depth on specific methods or tools, across all the themes, namely, greenhouse gas inventory, mitigation, vulnerability and adaptation, and support. 21.03.2018 Gaining further experience for implementation of the Paris Agreement The third cycle of International Assessment and Review was launched in March 2018. Since 2014, the trust among all Parties has been built through the implementation of the monitoring reporting and verification system. Wealth of experience was gained by climate change experts and Parties by reviewing and multilaterally assessing national reports of developed Parties and by analysing and facilitatively sharing views on the national reports of developing Parties.
