​Key vulnerabilities addressed ​Water and food security have previously been identified as the most vulnerable issues in the State of Palestine with knock-on implications for all other sectors: agriculture, coastal and marine, energy, food, gender, health, industry, terrestrial ecosystems, tourism, urban and infrastructure, waste and wastewater, water.​
Priority actions​ ​​For the Gaza Strip:
  • ​Increase share of imported water (groundwater supply)
  • Enhance the use of alternative water resources for non-domestic purposes (groundwater supply)
  • Build a large desalination plant for Gaza (groundwater quality and supply)
  • Develop and improve storm-water systems and drainage infrastructure (flood management)

For the West Bank:

  • Improving waste collection system (waste management)
  • Improve management of leachate from landfill sites (waste management)
  • Reduce, re-use, recycle (waste management)
