      To prepare a national strategy for domestic waste (solid waste and wastewater) management to reduce the greenhouse gases (GHGs) emissions by at least 1 Gg CO2 eq annually since according to Jordan's Second National Communication (SNC), the GHGs emissions from the waste sector 13.5% (2713 Gg CO2 eq) of the total national emissions. The strategy will consider the domestic waste management from generation to final disposal according to Waste Hierarchy
