DescriptionOfMitigationAction:
This NAMA seeks to promote the implementation of steps for the diversification and strengthening of the national energy network, creation of new jobs, attraction of international funds for the execution of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.<br /> <br /> The main benefits expected from this NAMA are:<br /> 1. Reduction of the use of fossil fuels.<br /> 2. Reduction of 15 million tons of CO2e per year once the maximum potencial of the NAMA is reached.<br /> 3. Promote the diversification of the national energy network by reducing the dependency on the fossil fuels for the power generation.<br /> 4. Fortify productivity and competitivity of national industry.<br /> 5. Promote the compliance of international agreements of Mexico against the climate change.<br /> 6. Creation of new jobs.<br /> 7. Attraction of international funds.
