Description: MLA biologists tried to protect the sea shore from tidal surge that was regular in every monsoon very high spring tide.
MLA simply conducted plantation by goatsfoot Ipomea pes caprae (a creeper naturally occur along tropical sea shore), and screwpine(Pandanus sp.). It was a demonstration plot.

NWPOutcome: In just 6 months period the flat beach has been formed into dunes, overall and at the edge 3-4 ft high....and within 2nd year it extended sea ward and surge penetration ceased from the first monsoon as observed.
