Description: The WHO assessment for health impacts due to climate change takes into account possible health impacts and assumes the economic growth and health progress. Under these conditions it concludes that climate change will claim 250,000 additional deaths per year 2030 to 2050. Results indicate that burden of diseases from climate change in future will continue to fall on the children in developing countries, and other population groups will also be affected. This document provides and overview of the consequences which will be faced if we fail to address climate change and the health risks associated with this. To act, decision makers need access to the best information possible on the risks and opportunities for action.
