Description: The Climate CHIP website provides knowledge resources and tools on climate change and health. It provides grid-cell based heat and impacts data through a user friendly website. It uses climate data from the Inter-Sectoral Impact Model Intercomparison Project (ISI-MIP), (Potsdam Institute) and calculates Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) and the Universal Thermal Climate Index (UTCI) so that they can be displayed for any of the 67,000 grid cells over land. Its purpose is to help local government agencies, enterprises, communities, scientists, school teachers and interested individuals find out about ongoing climate change since 1980, and the projected heat exposure situations until the end of the century.
