Description: Globally, there is increasing recognition of the need to track climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction progress. But the ability of countries and development partners to do this is constrained by the complex nature of adaptation and the absence of measurable outcomes or indicators to judge adaptation and its effects on a country’s overall development. This report documents and draws some lessons from the highly participatory, year-long, bottom-up process to develop climate change indicators for inclusion in Uganda’s existing local and national monitoring and evaluation tools and frameworks.
