Description: The OPEV host the National Directorship of Climate Change (DNCC in Spanish). The DNCC is the technical body in charge of complying with the country's commitments to the UNFCCC. In relation to Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) matters, the OPEV through its DNCC, is in charge of following the implementation, monitoring, report and evaluation of the NAP, the Technological Plan on Adaptation, the National Adaptation Programme of Activities, the Adaptation Communication and the Adaptation component of our NDC. The OPEV has an strategic role in promoting CCA as a cross-cutting issue among national planning processes and engaging key stakeholders from all sectors to guarantee the achievement of adaptation goals, reduce current and future vulnerabilities, and to meet adaptation needs.
