Stories from our partners

Graduate students from Harvard University undertake a capstone project in the Hindu Kush Himalayan subregion

Graduate students of Harvard University (John F. Kennedy School of Government) implemented a capstone project in the Hindu Kush Himalayan subregion. The research addressed a lack of access to awareness-raising products and early warning systems for multiple hazards, a knowledge gap identified under the LAKI. The students collaborated with a UNFCCC regional partner, the International Center for Integrated Mountain Development.

Graduate students from Wageningen University undertake capstone project on agriculture in Africa

Six graduate students from the NWP partner, Wageningen University, conducted a research project to assess the co-benefits of adaptation measures for the agriculture sector across the six African regions. The students undertook a literature review and conducted interviews with regional agriculture experts to gather information for the research leading to the development of a multi-criteria analysis framework to assess co-benefits that focused on climate change mitigation and socio-economic wellbeing. This framework can be used by agricultural practitioners from across Africa and be benchmarked by other regions.
