Established as a strategic body under the convention, the Paris Committee on Capacity-building (PCCB) has a clear mandate to foster collaboration among climate-related capacity-building stakeholders at all levels, and to strengthen networks and partnerships for enhancing synergies and promoting knowledge-and experience-sharing among them.
In 2019, the PCCB agreed on establishing a network of actors as a strategic instrument for enhancing stakeholder engagement, facilitating the exchange of information and communications, and mobilizing resources for collective capacity-building efforts.
The
PCCB Network is the latest initiative of the Paris Committee on Capacity-building(PCCB) to engage actors involved in climate-related capacity-building, and strengthen its ties with relevant bodies under and outside the Convention. Since its launch in early April 2020, the PCCB Network has been joined by over 120 entities and initiatives who believe in the power of collective action!
What is the PCCB Network, and who is it for?
The PCCB Network is a voluntary association of interested entities and initiatives involved in climate-related capacity-building efforts, who are willing to share information on good practices of their work, exchange knowledge, contribute to the work of PCCB in fulfilling its mandate, and seek to connect and collaborate with their peers across sectors and regions.
Why join the PCCB Network?
As a leveraging platform for knowledge sharing and collaborative efforts, the PCCB Network connects actors on a thematic/regional basis, facilitates knowledge exchange, and gathers and disseminates information through different communication channels. Moreover, members of the PCCB Network will be provided with exclusive networking opportunities at the UN Climate Change Conferences, and opportunities to participate in the organization of PCCB flagship projects such as
Capacity Building Hub
